The biggest problem is the M6 has cut through the canal 3 times so the changes of getting it to Kendal is very slim even though some of the canal towards Kendal is still in water

I'm really chuffed you mentioned me. I've had a few mentions over the last few years from foxes afloat to narrow escape who I gave some fab footage to of the landslip in Brinklow and also kev the country house gent 😀 met em all going through Brinklow. Morning Will. What can I say-an insight into the composer's laboratory.😊. Glad laptop repair worked. Its all packed in there tightly. Puts me in mind of the maxim "if it ain't broke, fix it till it is" 😂😂. Shame it was 14 miles to Kendal. Maybe you need an electric bike plus bog battery.😂😂😂. Expensive though. Malcolm, an excellent vlog, very informative. Far better than that other guy Will. Blimmin laptops, they can be a real pain when they die and you lose everything including passwords, and your her indoors has tossed out your notebook with all the info. Good on you for going for the silver propellers, it set's a target. Take care.

Well done on the repair to the fan mate. I’m just like you, love to repair things myself. Shame we live in a throwaway nation nowadays. Hope you get to go down the Glasson Branch to Glasson Basin. Hi will you have done it again what a brilliant video very interesting and informative and a emense pleasure to watch. I noticed that you are still chasing silver propeller awards. Best of luck with this endeavour..? I don't know how long your boat is but there are many locks where you are restricted by the length of the boat. As you are aware of.....it will take a lot of planning to visit certain areas of the canal system.. however everything is possible if you are prepared to use sections of waters that don't appear on the canal maps..to find these hidden gems use Google earth.... Over the years I have used these to stay for weeks on end in places and have never been asked by the .c t t. To move on... perhaps they don't know about them...??? Many years ago they were used by boaters to deliver goods to businesses . along the canals...I was fortunate to have had family members who used them as short cuts to places . Today I'm off to look at a boat that a friend is thinking of buying it to replace his old one.. apparently the surveyor has picked up a problem with the engine and gearbox... After talking to him it seems that engine has a definite knock . And the gearbox grinds when he tried to engage gear. Also he mentioned that I should check the alignment of the prop.??? So it's going to be a very interesting day. Thankfully it a mid engine boat. And has a p r m gear box...both of which are very easy to work on. I can't remember when I last worked on a Russell newbury engine .. they are bullet proof normally.. just as a. .. p r m .. gearbox is.. apart from these issues the boat is sound. It's going to be a very interesting couple of days. Thankfully he is on a fourteen day stay over at the boat yard.. strange that the mechanic there can't diagnose the problems..?????? All he has to do is remove the cover plates on the engine and he would be able to see what the problem is.by turning the engine by hand. It makes me wonder if he truly knows his trade Anyway will it's a huge filthy thumbs up 👍👍👍... from me and a massive thanks for taking the time to upload your videos.for people like myself to watch..

Treat yourself to some magnetic electrical screwdrivers methinks Mr Will and a can of compressed air for cleaning the laptop inside, dust is a killer.

stainton aqueduct near kendal, canoe job ,new propeller places been added for 2024 and some been removed ,you need very light oil for computer fans

I run 3 laptops & dust is the killer. I use a laptop cooling pad on my i7 as you could literally fry an egg around the area of the processor. Instead of using convection the cooling pad forces air through the PC & out of every orifice. 😛. It also cools your nads down on a hot day if you have it on your lap. (With pants on I might add). 😂

Definitely a fan of laptop repair, i found it a blast. Being methodical made it a breeze and was really cool when you got it working.

The Lancaster canal is a dream for people who are not in favour of doing locks. Gongrats with achieving silver propellor. Your laptop has some propellor issues of its own! Normally removing a carpet of dust is enough, but I think you do wisely to replace the fan, despite your impressive efforts to get it going.😅

Congratulations on reaching the navigable end of the Lancaster! My laptop fan is playing up, can I bring it round? 🤣Only joking Will. My hands look like old boot leather after years of being a gardener, I call them lived in hands that have kept me fed 🤩👍👍

Hi Will I am a bit confused about a Handicap in golf , is it like in a Horse race as when the winning horse and jocky win , then when he races again he has weights thrown in his saddle bags and the jocky gets and extra pork pie , so perhaps the golfer has weights put in his golf trolly is that why some golfers can manage 18 holes but now he can only drag his trolly round 9 holes as I have seen some golfers bent double pulling a bag full of weights 🤭

oh dear , that's abit petty , not letting anyone turn around in the marina , unless it meant only to hireboats , afterall you are a private boater lol , it looked a nice area of canal , but it looked like it needed dredging .

Owned by a rather famous ex trawler captain and his wife who got bravery awards when they rescued dozens of people from Liverpool’s Salthouse Dock after an amphibus sunk with 31 passengers on board. Hi Will.. That fish looked like a tench? The tiny pony was a Shetland pony used to have one as a kid a lot of fun to ride used to just get down and roll to get you off lol. Yellow Flowers were iris on side of canal. Now that is a pretty canal very lovely video. M6 is blooming every where isn't it 😢 I live not too far from the dreaded junction 2 of the M6 it's not too bad but train line too from rugby to Birmingham main line yuk. Morning Will. Looks like blanket weed on the boat sides. Horrible stuff. Our boating lake had major problems with the weed blooming up in towers to the surface in hot weather. Overcome by adding a coloured food dye to darken the water so not enough sunlight gets through to activate the weed. Without that you may as well fill the lake in and turn it into a car park-like they used to do with abandoned canal terminal basins!☹. Another enjoyable video, I enjoyed the variable pace and comment as always. And the pope is back.😂😂😂😂. Regards. Paul.
